Ideas form our lives

In our lives, we behave according to our beliefs. We engage in activities that we need or want. In their core, invariably, there is an idea. An idea that has captured our imagination so much that we have let it in our life and turned it into reality. Step forward into the new year 2016 with a beautiful idea on your mind.

On a daily basis, we get bombarded with plenty of information behind which there are hidden ideas of others. What we are going to do with them is up to us alone. One course of action would be good: giving them a thought and realize which are beneficial and which are not. It is appropriate to support those beneficial ones, beneficial both to individuals and the society as a whole. You know it yourselves, actually. An idea beneficial just for somebody and at the expense of others will always cause losses, pain and imbalace, see the Pareto optimum

Your advisor recommends - choose beneficial ideas

It is worth while to stop for a minute and evaluate what a new idea and its implementation might cause. If it is benefit, joy - then it is appropriate to support that idea. If it is the contrary, we do not have to condemn that idea right away, but give it a thought to make sure if we do not misunderstand it or there is another way of its implementation, one that would be beneficial. There are always more ways than one. Let us go and search for them and introduce into our life and the lives of others the right values or, if you like, virtues. Then, we will have more friends and happy people around.

The consultancy service  is predominantly about ideas that are supposed to help people and companies achieve success. I do hope that also in 2016 the consultants of OwnWay will bring you lots of beneficial ideas.

„Rather than creating piles of documentation, it is better to draw a single scheme or picture.“ more >>

And not just ISO, AS, OHSAS, CMMI  … but other standards, too, want us to describe what we do and how we do it. Most quality people and managers just produce pages of text which pile on the desk. Writing down a sentence is fairly easy. However, the sentence alone does not matter. What matters here is that people understand that sentence and use it in practice. Standards do not tell us how to describe our management system, though. Frankly, times are hasty and people have no time for reading piles of paper. They are bombarded by information from all sides. Besides, reading through a long document, they do not remember what was at the beginning. A picture or a scheme is faster to read and easier to remember. What if the system was created as an interactive model of schemes, pictures and supplementary text. Try to make out how.
