Have you ever encountered a situation in which a company is left without any plan, or with workers preparing just partial activities in their tables? I have lately come across this phenomenon more than once, which has inspired me to open a discussion on the topic of “Why do managers dislike planning?“

Join in discussing the topic of what your experience with your clients´ planning is like. I have come across the following reasons why managers dislike planning a number of times:

  • we only get casual orders, so nothing can be planned
  • customer still change his requirements
  • I can manage all the planning in my head
  • why should we enter such a simple thing into the plan
  • we have everything working even without any plan
  • we have no time left for paperwork
  • we cannot make a good thing of planning
  • etc.

Have you met with other reasons against plannig? Share your experience as well as your views to what end these reasons can lead in a discussion.
