The verbal communication is communication utilizing words and voice. That is, what words, phrases, expressions the communicating person uses. The verbal communication also includes voice pronouncement, laying the stress, pauses, etc.

The verbal communication tells us about a person´s word power and his or her ability to use it. It is greatly influenced by that person´s social status, experience, intentions and their current health.

In the voice pronouncement, we further distinguish the following features:

  • acuteness
  • tone quality
  • frequency
  • intonation
  • cadence
  • stylization

The main component of communication is also the  non-verbal communication.
