SIPOC

SIPOC is a simple method for describing processes. Capital letters are the names of words that are used in the order given in the description and setting processes. S-supplier, I-input, P-process, O-output, C-customer.

Method SIPOC began to be used in II. half of the 20th century within filizofii TQM - Total Quality Management. Today it is used for modeling processes, their restructuring and is also part of Six Sigma methods, lean manufacturing.

Sadly, many of today´s problems are complex ones and any second best solution amounts to losses. Each solution deserves deep concentration. Nowadays, managers are advised to watch how their workers approach problem solving. Unless they have seen full concentration in their faces, they cannot be sure the workers have done their best.
