Preparing young managers for practical team-leading, developing co-operation and reaching effective results. Enhancing the communication, the knowledge of the management, stress management and searching for effective solutions.
As part of the corporate education, Ing. Jiří Střelec has given us a guided tour of his training programme of several months aimed at developing the managers.
The principle objective was to master the manager´s skills.
Making ourselves familiar with the manager´s role, their missions and responsibilities, their share in defining and fulfilling the company´s strategy, visions and targets, also, the importance of controlling the company´s processes and their implementation, effective planning including planning the capacities, determining the priorities, setting the metrics and measuring the performance inside of the team, workers´ assessment and training of active communication - these all ranked among the main subjects of this programme.
All these subjects were of even greater interest, for they were far from being just a dull theory. Quite the contrary, Mr Střelec consistently led us to transform our newly-acquired knowledge into practical skills, making it a part of our everyday work. He cared to know which of the knowledge learned we have already applied in practice, what results have we got to encourage us to discuss them accordingly.
We have come to realize that being a really good manager does not come easy to us, it is a challenge, a great effort and big responsibility. As we are manager newbies, this training session helped us get some idea as to the way a company should work and that it is the satisfied employees who are behind its business success.
We thank Mr Střelec for his beneficial suggestions in resolving specific instances, for his active approach of never giving us anything for nothing, for that was the only way to allow us grow professionally.
